The Role of the Duanesburg Community PTA

The Duanesburg Community PTA sponsors and supports a variety of extracurricular activities and clubs. PTA fundraisers, donations and membership dues help fund programs and events that are not available through the regular Duanesburg school district school budget.

Message from the President, September 2018

Dear Duanesburg Community,

We are extremely excited for the upcoming 2018-19 school year. We have been working with the school district, community members, and local businesses to build on last year’s accomplishments, continue traditions within the district, and plan several wonderful events in our community that we believe all will enjoy.

Since our inception in October 2018, we have been working diligently to fulfill our mission: “To create an environment in which every child in our community can reach his/her potential through collaboration with families, community members, and local businesses.”

The Board and Committee Chairmen have been working together to bring  the community a variety of events, programs, and revenue that will directly benefit our community. Some current and future events include the Duanesburg Homecoming Weekend, Annual Halloween Bash, Parent Substance Abuse Forums, a CSE/CPSE Advocate Group, and Teacher Appreciation Week. Our goal as an organization will be to continue to grow and provide more enriching opportunities for the community.

I personally want to thank our founding members, committee chairmen, and board. Without your passion for our community, hard work, and dedication of time, all of the things we have accomplished in our first year, and for all we have in store for the upcoming school year, would not have been obtainable without you. Thank you.
