Smart athletes

Congratulations to Duanesburg’s fall sports teams: All of them have been named Scholar-Athlete teams by the New York Public High School Athletic Association (NYSPHSAA). They qualified for recognition as Scholar-Athletes by achieving a team average of 90% or higher. Fall sports at DCS include golf, cross country, swimming, soccer, volleyball, and football. It’s an honor to serve others

National Honor Society member students lent a hand at the Salvation Army in Schenectady on Friday, Nov. 15, helping to prepare and serve about 75 meals. The student volunteer annually at the Salvation Army as a service to the greater community.  

Celebrating Hispanic heritage

To celebrate Hispanic heritage, Duanesburg Jr./Sr. High School students decorated a bulletin board with pictures of important Hispanic people, and they and Spanish teacher Isabel Kalin dressed up as Hispanic Americans who have influenced our country.
