Students in Duanesburg’s chapter of the National Honor Society are making the holidays happier for a local family in need after a successful fundraising effort.
“NHS members really pulled through this year,” said chapter advisor Lisa Della Rocco. “Together, the 17 students and their families donated $220 and purchased pots and pans, a hoodie, a blender, silverware and a set of sheets!”
The students will present the gifts to the adopted family this week.
