The New York State Education Department has announced that Algebra I, English Language Arts, Earth Science, and Living Environment Regents exams will be given this June. These exams are required by federal regulations. All other Regents exams scheduled to take place in June have been canceled. No Regents exams will be given in August.
Credit for all Regents courses will be determined solely by earning a passing grade in the course this year. Students who normally would have taken an exam to meet a graduation requirement will be exempted from this requirement this year. Regents exam grades will not be factored into student grades.
The schedule for the four exams that will be administered has also been readjusted as follows:
- Thursday, June 17: English Language Arts
- Tuesday, June 22: Living Environment
- Wednesday, June 23: Algebra I
- Thursday, June 24: Earth Science
The Jr./Sr. High School will contact students and parents/guardians regarding a local final exam schedule that will take place at the end of the year.
