FBLA flags a tribute to veterans

Flags in garden

Students in Duanesburg High School’s FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) chapter honored veterans near and far by planting a garden of American flags in front of their school, while also raising more than $125 to help local veterans.

The students and advisor Michele Hall offered the small flags for a $1 donation, and each flag carries the name of a veteran selected by the donor. DCS staff, students and families participated to honor loved ones, friends and those who’ve served near and far. Some made cash donations to the fundraiser as well.

The FBLA students will be making a donation to a local veterans service organization.
