The Board of Education is dedicated to ensuring a safe, respectful, and well-ordered environment where students can learn and staff can teach effectively without disruptions. Achieving this requires responsible behavior from everyone—students, staff, parents/guardians, and visitors.
The Duanesburg Central School District has long upheld clear expectations for student behavior on school property and at school events. These expectations are rooted in the core values of civility, mutual respect, dignity, citizenship, character, acceptance, honesty, and integrity.
In accordance with New York State law, the Board recognizes the importance of clearly defining expectations for behavior on school property, outlining consequences for misconduct, and ensuring that any discipline is applied promptly and fairly. To support this, the Board adopts this Code of Conduct (“Code”).
