Superintendent’s Message Regarding 2021 School Reopening

Dear Duanesburg Central Schools Community:

As we prepare to reopen for the 21-22 school year, a new level of uncertainty has emerged, primarily stemming from the spread of the COVID-19 variant. Many questions remain regarding what this year will look like. However, we plan on a full return to school in September but, as always, we will continue to collaborate with Schenectady County Public Health Services and follow the guidance of NYSDOH and the CDC.

We continue to evaluate and modify the district’s COVID-related protocols and procedures as we learn new information from health experts. We are committed to making the 21-22 school year a positive experience despite any continued obstacles. To do this, we will continue to rely upon our partnership with you and other DCS families.

Sincerely,
Dr. James Niedermeier
Duanesburg Superintendent of Schools
