Congratulations to DCS Athletic Coordinator and Boys Varsity Head Coach Brett Simpson on earning his 100th career victory at Duanesburg! He reached this milestone last Friday with a 72–47 road win over Mayfield, as the Eagles delivered a strong team performance.
Coach Simpson achieved this remarkable accomplishment in record time – just six basketball seasons. During that span, he has transformed the Duanesburg basketball program into “one of the premier small-school programs not only in Section 2, but among all of New York State,” according to the Daily Gazette.
There have been plenty of highlights, including an undefeated regular season in 2022-2023, which led to the first-ever Section 2, Class C championship for the program. He’s had three consecutive 20-win seasons and brought the team to sectional finals three straight seasons in a row.
With 100 wins under his belt, we look forward to many more great moments under Coach Simpson’s leadership at DCS!
