Commencement for DCS’ graduating Class of 2025 will take place at 4 p.m. on Thursday, June 26 in Joe Bena Hall. We’ve already introduced you to our Valedictorian (Matthew Newvine) and Salutatorian (Brooke Grenier), but now we’d like to you meet the rest of our “Top Ten” students for Duanesburg’s graduating Class of 2025!

Hailey Rose (#3)
Plans for next year: SUNY Geneseo; biology with a physical therapy concentration
Favorite memory/What will you miss most?: Taking second place at sectionals with the cross country team. I’m going to miss competing in sports.
Favorite teacher/class: Mrs. Sigond’s AP Psychology class. The class was so interesting and she prepared me for the exam and taking college level classes. Mrs. Sigond was so supportive even when I wasn’t in her class.
Joseph Harris (#4)
Plans for next year: Syracuse University; mechanical engineering
Favorite memory/What will you miss most?: My favorite memory is our trip to Washington DC during our junior year. I will miss seeing all of my friends everyday in school.
Favorite teacher/class: My favorite class was Physics with Mr. McConnelee. It definitely helped me decide to be a mechanical engineer and also taught me a variety of skills in the field like problem solving and mechanical principles. Mr. McConnelee is a fantastic hands-on teacher and had a demonstration almost every day that was both captivating and educational. It was a very engaging class and I appreciated the amount of time and effort he put into our class.
Morgan Krouse (#5)
Plans for next year: SUNY Delhi; veterinary science; will be a member of the soccer team
Favorite memory/What will you miss most?: The teachers
Favorite teacher/class: Mrs. Pless and any of her English classes. She is one of the most supportive teachers I have ever met and creates such a warm and welcoming learning environment. No matter the class you are taking she finds ways to help you.
Jansen Proulx (#6)
Plans for next year: SUNY Cortland; undecided/possibly biomedical sciences
Favorite memory/What will you miss most?: My favorite memory of attending DCS is field day in elementary school. I’ll miss playing sports with my best friends.
Favorite teacher/class: I had too many good teachers to choose one.
Tyler Decker (#7)
Plans for next year: Syracuse University; aerospace engineering
Favorite memory/What will you miss most?: My favorite memory of attending DCS is having fun on field days. I will miss being around friends that I have known for years.
Favorite teacher/class: I believe that Physics has best helped me prepare for the next chapter of my life because it has given me the best introduction into what I will continue to learn about in college.
Keegan Brooks (#8)
Plans for next year: RPI; nuclear engineering
Favorite memory/What will you miss most?: I will miss having great discussions with my friends.
Favorite teacher/class: Robotics Club because it taught me the importance of teamwork
Jesse Bradshaw (#9)
Plans for next year: University at Buffalo; mechanical engineering
Favorite memory/What will you miss most?: My favorite memory is being on the track team and all the fun things we did together as a group.
Favorite teacher/class: The teachers that really pushed me were Mr. Lohret and Mr. Gauthier. I appreciated when Mr. Lohret let me teach the class how to use CAD. I also appreciated Mr. G and the mentorship he provided to the Robotics team. Robotics is where I learned many valuable skills.
Maura O’Donnell (#10)
Plans for next year: SUNY Geneseo; sociomedical science on a pre-dental track; will be a member of the swim team.
Favorite memory/What will you miss most?: I will miss the supportive small community and close friendships I have developed while at DCS.
Favorite teacher/class: Mrs. Goebel was always there to listen, advise, and push me to be the best version of myself.
