Class of 2020 graduation news

Dear Members of the Class of 2020 and Families,

This certainly is not the way in which we all hoped to end your senior year, and we want you all to know we have been thinking of you. We share the disappointment and frustration that the COVID-19 Pandemic has thrust upon us all. Although we cannot invite you and your family to the school for our traditional graduation ceremony, we have been working very hard to develop a plan that we hope will bring us together and allow us to celebrate your accomplishments.

We are excited to tell you that we have contracted with Fogarty Services to produce a web-presentation of our graduates. This website will allow us to highlight each senior while the graduate’s name is announced alongside a picture of his or her diploma.  We will be providing more details on this aspect of the ceremony in the days ahead.

The platform will include our traditional commencement addresses by Dom Gallo, valedictorian, Morgan Hack, salutatorian, and  your class president(s) as well as comments from your class advisors, officers, and school administration. Therefore, you and your family, whether they live locally or far away, will be able to tune in to this virtual platform.

We are pleased to let you know that everything described above does not carry any cost for our families. You should expect to receive an email from us that will provide you with further details about what we will need from you in order to include you in this special virtual event. Please respond to those directions as quickly as possible after they come.

Also, we will be distributing caps and gowns to each of you through Jostens when diplomas are distributed to students. We will send out more specific information in the days to come.  We hope that this news will help to make you feel a bit better. We look forward to celebrating with you as best we can.

Sincerely,
Jodi L Marvin
