DCS students present “Alice in Wonderland” with Missoula Children’s Theatre August 2

Please join us for two performances of “Alice In Wonderland,” a musical-theater production in partnership with Missoula Children’s Theatre featuring a full cast of more than 60 DCS students, ages 5-18! Performances will take place at 3 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. in Joe Bena Hall. General admission tickets can be purchased for $5 at the door.

Students spent the week of Monday, July 28 – Friday, August 1 with professional actors from Missoula Children’s Theater preparing for the show. Students participated in open auditions and rehearsals throughout the week.

Also included in the residency were three enrichment workshops presented by the Tour Actor/Directors. Creativity, social skills, goal achievement, communication skills and self-esteem are all characteristics that are attained through participation in this unique, educational project.

“Alice in Wonderland” is based upon “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland” & “Through the Looking Glass” by Lewis Carroll; music by David W. Simmons; lyrics by Lewis Carroll, William Shakespeare and David W. Simmons; staging by Don Kukla.
