Update March 17: Gov. orders schools closed 2 weeks; coursework sent remotely

Update: March 17, 2020

Due to ongoing public health concerns related to COVID-19/Coronavirus, Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced that all schools in New York state will be closed for two weeks, effective Wednesday, March 18, with students expected to return on Wednesday, April 1, 2020, barring any other changes. Please note that DCS schools are also closed on Tuesday, March 17.  

Please note that although DCS buildings are closed, the district is delivering coursework remotely.

DCS is closely monitoring the COVID-19/Coronavirus situation at the state and local levels, and will let keep everyone informed if the closure period changes.

DCS recognizes the challenges created by the COVID-19/Coronavirus situation. The district is committed to providing our students and their families with continued support during the closure, including assistance with meals and learning activities.
