Duanesburg Jr. High School student Hannah Borski has been honored for her excellence in American history by the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR).
The DAR’s Schenectada* Chapter presents the award each spring to an 8th grade student from the area. The award aligns with the organization’s mission: “DAR, founded in 1890, is a non-profit, non-political volunteer women’s service organization dedicated to promoting patriotism, preserving American history, and securing America’s future through better education for children.”
“Hannah is an enthusiastic student in social studies class who makes sophisticated connections and contributes to class discussions,” said DCS social studies teacher Lisa Dennison. “She also utilizes her background knowledge as a member of the DCS MasterMinds team. Congratulations, Hannah!”
