DCS well represented at SkillsUSA states

DCS will be well represented at the 2018 New York State SkillsUSA competition later this month, with two high school students competing and two others helping to provide security for the event for career and technical education (CTE) students.

Zack Lawrence will compete in criminal justice, his field of study at the Capital Region CTE School, at the April 25-27 event at the state fairgrounds in Syracuse. Brianna Colucci, who studies fashion design at CTE, will compete in customer service at the SkillsUSA states.

Duanesburg High School and CTE criminal justice students Laura Walter and Katherine Zapotocki will assist with security at the SkillsUSA states.

SkillsUSA is a national organization for CTE students that promotes growth in leadership, career and personal skills and community service through conferences, competitions and local chapter activities. Both the Albany and Schoharie campuses of the Capital Region BOCES CTE School have active SkillsUSA chapters.
