13 inducted into Honor Society

Thirteen Duanesburg High School students were recognized for academic excellence, citizenship and overall achievement by being inducted into the National Honor Society on May 16 at 6 p.m. in Joe Bena Auditorium.

Founded in 1921 by the National Association of Secondary School Principals, the National Honor Society is one of the oldest and most well-known national organizations for high school students. To be eligible for membership in the National Honor Society, a student must: be a sophomore, junior or senior; meet attendance requirements and have a cumulative average of at least 88 percent. Additionally, students are  evaluated on the basis of service, leadership and character.
