For the second year in a row, Duanesburg’s Parent Teacher
Student Organization sponsored a Rock the Vote Fun Night
for children and their families in the Duanesburg
Central School District.
Thanks to the PTSO, youngsters were able to enjoy a variety
of free activities and snacks while their parents voted in
the district’s Annual Budget Vote and Board Election on May
19 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Duanesburg Elementary School.
Children took turns going down the bounce slide, got in
touch with their creative spirit by making art projects and
listened to music. In between activities they munched on
snow cones and popcorn.
The PTSO is committed to enhancing education opportunities
for students in the Duanesburg Central School District. The
organization holds a variety of fundraisers throughout the
year to provide scholarships for students, sponsor
extracurricular activities and clubs, and supply equipment
or other materials not covered in the district's school
budget.
