June 1, 2009– Congratulations to the seven students who were inducted into the Duanesburg High School chapter of the National Honor Society this spring.

The new members are: Victoria Cramer, Shannon Crowley, Nicole Dexter, Alyssa Galea, Ashlyn McGarry, Caitlin Mckinley and Janae Vanderpoel.

Students must have a cumulative grade point average of 88 or higher in order to be considered for membership. In addition, students must exhibit excellence in four areas—scholarship, leadership, service and character. These qualities are evaluated by the chapter's faculty council.

The National honor Society ranks as one of the oldest and most prestigious national organizations for high school students. It was founded in 1921 by the National Association of Secondary School Principals.
