FBLA creates First New York Federal Credit Union "Eagles" branch in school

Students in the after-school club FBLA--Future Business Leaders of America--helped launch the grand opening of the First New York Federal Credit Union "Eagles" branch in the Duanesburg High School at a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Tuesday, Nov. 8. The bank's branch will be open every Tuesday during period 7--from 1 to 1:30 p.m. Both students and staff alike will be able to do their banking through the "Eagles" branch. DCS students, under the supervision of a trained staff member, will work in the bank's branch fulfilling customer requests. "This is a fantastic learning experience for our students," says teacher and FBLA advisor Connie Toler. "Especially for students who are thinking of pursuing a career in banking or finance."
