Archaeology students learn from Project Lead the Way students

In October, students in Karen Kanarkiewicz's archaeology class participated in an on-site field trip hosted by Jean Ceniviva and her Project Lead the Way students. An important part of archaeology is site selection which involves gathering as much data as possible through different field survey methods. Ceniviva and two of her advanced students, Mehgan McMasters and Carissa Vanderpoel, led groups of archaeology students through the entire process.

"I was thrilled that our own students had the knowledge and skills to lead the groups," said Kanarkiewicz. "I'm so proud of our students!"
