Go Pink Day!

Duanesburg Elementary School students wore pink, raised money for breast cancer research

Friday, October 15--DES sponsored a "Go Pink Day" to support the school's Making Strides Against Breast Cancer team. Teachers and students wore pink and made monetary donations to the DES team. One student even crafted a t-shirt that listed the names of  family members and friends who had been affected by breast cancer. Go Pink Day was a huge success with students raising $295 for breast cancer. The DES team consists of eight staff members who--with the help of Go Pink Day--raised a total of $635.
