Kindergarteners get a lesson in bus safety
Students bone up on the ABCs of bus safety, tour the DCS bus garage
This year's kindergarten students did more than just learn about about bus safety in the classroom. They actually took an on-campus field trip to the DCS bus garage where Transportation Manager Mr. Harry Folckemer showed students where the school buses get fixed (and how!), where they get fuel, where they are parked and much more. The students were able to ask questions, and they especially enjoyed seeing one of the buses on the lift. An added bonus: The children were able to meet some of the transportation staff who work in the bus garage and help make sure that each and every student gets to and from school safely!
