First-grade students get an "earful" from a guest visitor
On Wednesday, April 12, Duanesburg Elementary School first-grade students were entertained by a very loud visitor--bagpiper Tom LaBelle. He gave a lesson on the history of bagpipes and traditional bagpipe songs, showed them how bagpipes work and played a few songs while leading the students in a parade around the school. Additionally, fifth-grade student Dennis Durrant who also plays the bagpipes joined LaBelle during the assembly and played a few song with him.
