1. Why are there picnic tables sticking out of
the snow banks in front of the ES school?
2. Is it true we are giving the teachers retroactive payment for their
contract?
3. Are we going to be cutting teachers?
![]()
1. When the parking lot and bus circle at the elementary school were plowed, snow was pushed up on the section of the lawn where the picnic tables were sitting. The picnic tables have been inspected and are not damaged. As soon as the weather warms up a bit, the ES maintenance employees plan to remove the tables from the snow.
2. The contract that just got settled--July 1, 2008 to present-- includes retroactive pay.
3. The 2011-12 budget process as just begun. Please visit the budget section on our website and/or attend the many budget workshops planned throughout March, April and May 2011 to learn more.

Is it possible to have all the teachers have a page to post current information relevant to their class for those parents that would like to stay updated on classroom info?

Teachers are not required to create and maintain a website. The teachers that have a website do so because they see a benefit to their instructional program. If there are ever any questions about individual class assignments, events, etc. parents are asked to call or e-mail thier child's classroom teacher.
