There is a lot of stress and frustration being put upon students with red hair. This Ginger thing from south park is now way out of hand. The events already occurring are criminal, and the school is opening itself to legal action. In light of the events in Florida and Mass, I would like to know if D'burg is taking any action? It is prejudiced and harassment!

The district does not allow harassment or prejudice practices of any kind, and all known occurrences are addressed. If a student, parent or staff member has specific knowledge of events that they believe the school is unaware of, then they should communicate that knowledge to the building principal.

Why are cafeteria aides and certain teachers allowed to bully students?
![]()
The district has a zero tolerance bullying policy, which applies to students, teachers and staff.
As with all concerns related to specific students or staff, a parent, student or community member should contact the staff member's immediate supervisor or the building principal to discuss any concerns over the phone or in person. If the student, parent or community member does not feel that the situation has been remedied they should refer to the next immediate supervisor until the matter is resolved.

As a concerned parent of the Duanesburg School District I am concerned that last week a student was attacked by another student two days in a row and the student that did the attacking is still in school with no suspension and/or disciplinary action. I have been told by other students and parents that this student is actually bragging about "getting away with this" even after the other student was taken out of school in an ambulance. This is very upsetting that DCS would allow such an incident to go unpunished and makes one wonder if this child will harm others?

During an altercation last week, a student received a minor injury when his hand was punctured with a pen by another student. As a precaution the student was transported to the hospital via an ambulance. While we cannot comment on individual student discipline cases, both students were disciplined according to the district's code of conduct, which clearly outlines student conduct and the disciplinary process, including penalties and procedures for disorderly conduct. Download the Code of Conduct-PDF. If parents have any concerns about the incident, please contact the middle school principal directly at 518-895-5350 ext. 224 or preyes@duanesburg.org.

I don't feel that a bullying situation involving students was addressed or taken seriously.

District personnel take all reports of bullying seriously. Students are encouraged to report bullying to an adult (teacher, bus driver, principal) and parents are encouraged to discuss incidents of bullying with their child's teacher or building principal first. If parents feel that an incident is not being addressed at the building level, then it is within their right to bring the matter to the attention of the superintendent of schools.
