DCS students take first and second place in art show

Teanne Schmaeh, an 11th-grade student at Duanesburg High School took first place in the 24th Annual Arts and Enrichment Art Show held at Capital Region BOCES. (See Lion photo, right) Runner up was senior Laura Antillion. (See photo, left.)

“I am so proud of our students and small district for this amazing win,” says Art Teacher Kevin DiTondo. “It is a great accomplishment for our school to win three years in a row for best in show against all the larger school districts. I am so pleased to have such a great program and wonderful students who always go the extra mile to make their artwork perfect.”

Other Duanesburg students who entered the show include senior Zach Fields, eighth-grade students Sarah Bareis and Maddy Soucy and fifth-grade students Annabelle Riesseler, Emma Helfrich, Hanna Every and Kiley Flores.
