Spelling Bee winner Wyeth McKinley goes on to Capital Region Bee

December 5, 2011

Congratulations to sixth grade student Wyeth McKinley who took first place in the Duanesburg Spelling Bee. His victory qualifies him to compete in the Capital Region Spelling Bee in February at Proctor's Theater. Good luck Wyeth!

A huge congratulations also goes out to second place winner eighth grade student Ben Fredericks and to third place winner Xavier McKinley, also in grade 8. "I'm so proud of all of the students who participated in the Bee," says third-grade teacher and Bee coordinator Mr. Falco. "Everyone who competes in this event is a winner because each student worked hard, studied hard and competed--that's a huge accomplishment for which all the students should be proud."
