Students continue classroom art lesson at MMOA

November 28, 2011

Students in Art Teacher Kevin DiTondo's class recently were engaged in a real-world art lesson when they took a trip to NYC's Metropolitan Museum of Art. Prior to the trip, students had been learning about and discussing modern art and artists.

The trip enabled the class to expand upon their discussions as well as give kids a chance to see famous works of modern art up close and personal. DiTondo says the next part of the lesson is for the student artists to create their own modern art pieces which will then be on display during the annual Duanesburg Day celebration.
