2011-12 kindergarten registration
Registration for next fall’s kindergarten classes at Duanesburg Central School will be held on two days: Wednesday, April 6 and Thursday, April 7 from 3 to 4 p.m. at the elementary school, 165 Chadwick Road, Delanson, NY.
A scheduled mailing with required registration documentation will be mailed on 1/31/11 and all paperwork is due Monday, 2/14/11. The mailing is based on the census completed in 2007. If you are new to our district and have not completed a census form, or have a kindergarten age child, please call the elementary school at (518) 895-2580. You may visit our website, www.duanesburg.org, to secure a census form.
To be eligible to enter kindergarten in the fall, children must be 5 years old by December 1, 2011. A birth certificate or other legal proof of age, guardian/ custodial documentation, immunization records, and three proofs of residency, (as outlined in district procedure found on our website under Duanesburg A to Z, Residency Enrollment Requirements), are required at the time of registration.
State law requires that children have the following immunizations BEFORE they can enter kindergarten:
3 doses of diphtheria
3 doses of polio
3 doses of hepatitis B
2 doses of MMR (measles, mumps, rubella)
1 dose varicella (chicken pox)
Parents of incoming kindergarten children in the district who have not received registration forms in the mail by 2/4/11 need to contact the elementary school office at 895-2580 as soon as possible to complete a census form, and registration documentation.
