School blood drive a success
March 1, 2011 — The Red Cross blood drive
sponsored by the Leo Club was a huge success, with a large turnout
from students and a number of staff and community members.
There were 59 presenting donors, with 15 being first time donors.
The Red Cross collected 41 units of whole blood and 12 double red
units, for a total of 53 units. When added to the school's total
from the fall, 109 units of blood were collected this year--which is
even better than last year's total of 92 units of blood.
