During the day, students were able to purchase pink ribbons for $1 or donate $5 to the National Cancer Foundation and receive a free pink hair extension.

Hank Dunn, a hair stylist, community member and parent, generously donated her time during lunch periods to place the hair extensions on students and staff using glue and an iron.

In all, the day's activities helped raised nearly $800 to help fund cancer research.

"We're thrilled with the outcome of the day, and the student's commitment to breast cancer awareness," said health teacher Maureen Moffett, who helped organize the event.

A special thank you to everyone who generously donated their time and resources to this worthy cause.
