Softball team wraps up a perfect season, wins the WAC Cup

group photo of the softball team June 1, 2010—Congratulations to the Duanesburg softball team for wrapping up a perfect (12-0) Western Athletic Conference (WAC) season, and winning the WAC Cup.

The southern division champion lady eagles defeated northern division co champions Fonda 13-0 in the semi-finals and Saratoga Spa Catholic in the finals 6-1 to take home the first WAC CUP for softball.

Dani Hennel supplied outstanding pitching in the championship game with a one hitter and 14 strike outs. Nicole Dexter had two doubles, Caitlin Sanders had a double and a single while Olivia Matz scored a triple.
