Interested in running for the school board?

 

Three seats up for election on May 18

March 5, 2010—Three seats on Duanesburg Central School District’s Board of Education will be up for election on Tuesday, May 18.

Two three-year terms, currently held by Carlos Moreno and Cecilia Tkaczyk, and one one-year term, currently held by Henry "Gus" Geidel, will be up for election.

Residents interested in running for any of the seats may download a petition from the district Web site. Petitions are also available in the district office at 133 School Drive, Delanson, or by calling 895-2279. Petitions must contain a minimum of 25 valid signatures, and be filed with the district clerk no later than Friday, April 16, at 5 p.m.

The Duanesburg Central school District’s Board of Education is comprised of seven board members who serve three-year terms. Members are elected by voters of the district, and receive no salaries or other compensation.
