Duanesburg middle schoolers raise funds for Haiti

Jan. 25, 2010—In just two days, Duanesburg seventh-graders as well as some eighth-graders and teachers raised one hundred dollars for disaster relief in Haiti.

"I'd like to extend a big hug to all of those students who have shown their compassion for others," said seventh-grade social studies teacher Sue Clark.

Following a devastating earthquake earlier this month, students brought in monetary donations for Kids Against Hunger, a a humanitarian food-aid organization.

The money will help provide 400 meals for children in the impoverished area.
